I don't recall any specific mention of that as far as Ten was concerned,
You don't recall the discussions about Heracles, Xena,X-Files and a
number of other shows.
IIRC the discussion was about Enterprise and Prison Break. Ten may have
gotten a mention for letting Big Brothel run over time and fucking over
Smallville viewers.
Because aus.tv has only existed for a month.
I would however say that how Ten is treating The Office is borderline
contempt, when it gets bumped for a week due to the F1 stuff.
And? It rated badly, but they're still playing it.

I was referring to those 2 or 3 threads started over the last few weeks in
which the word "contempt" was prominently featured, and to which you seemed
to take great offense that people were criticising the networks.

I take it that is sarcasm. See my reply above.

I'm not going through all that again. You know my position on this.

Yes, and in the psot you were replying to, and in the recent contempt
posts I was referring to an ongoing labelling of every single thing
that the networks do as comtempt.

This isn't a new story.

Yes. TV programming must revolve around you.

Well I don't recall any Buffy, X-Files or whatever threads that I
participated in, so I can only reply to what I have read.

*sigh* You've completely missed my point in all of those threads, but let
me spell it out once more. Short-term ratings-driven decisions are fucking
over viewers (yes, including me), but they also have longer-term effects on
networks, so that they will eventually lose also. There are no losers,
except perhaps the shareholders who will simply sell their stocks when they
see the revolution coming.

But not as many viewers as ignoring ratings.

Maybe, maybe not.

Shareholders are short-term winners, and that's what shareholders want
to be.

That's the problem with public companies world-wide.
